28 Inches Off The Ground

Here's one thing I really do not understand. What is the point of rims this freaking big? Look at them, there is actually someone standing under the car only ducking down just slightly. Actually, sence the car is on hydrolics, it sits even higher than 28 inches. Why? What is the point?
